Community Events - Our Theater Representatives

Representing Ruth Eckerd Hall at community events/festivals is a great way to promote the hall throughout our community. We are always looking for volunteers who are willing to encourage participation at the many events that are held at REH. If you are enthusiastic about our theater, we need your help!

Ushers - Our Theater Welcome Committee

Ushers play an important role as they may be the first interaction patrons have with Ruth Eckerd Hall. Usher responsibilities include greeting and directing patrons, assisting patrons with seating ensuring that guests are properly seated, distributing programs, and answering general patron questions.

Concessions - Our Theater Watering System

Volunteers help to serve our patrons by selling soda and water before and after a performance and during intermission.

Office Help - Our Theater Operators

Volunteers provide support to our administrative office in the Accounting, Education, Marketing, and Ticketing departments. Office responsibilities may include but are not limited to data entry, scheduling appointments, filing, copying, customer service, writing/editing and graphic design.
Volunteers are needed for day, afternoon, and evening positions each day of the week.

Persons interested in joining our theater by volunteering should fill out the volunteer application, save a copy to your computer and email the saved copy to HR@rutheckerdhall.net. A county background check will be required of all volunteers.

“I feel like I have the greatest job in the world. Being able to book this amazing Hall and work with such a fine staff is truly a dream.  In a given week, we go from presenting Mickey Mouse to Milton Berle to Motley Crue …and it’s not even Wednesday yet!” - Bobby, Entertainment

“If I won the lottery, I’d give $5 million to the endowment and be back to work on Monday.  That’s how much I love what we do here.” - Susan, Ticketing & Information Services

“How fortunate I am to have the job that I have, in such a beautiful facility, surrounded by like-minded people who share the value & importance of the arts in our lives." - Sharon, Education
