Mr. Zev Buffman, Ruth Eckerd Hall President & CEO announced today the Tampa Bay area premiere of the all-new production of The Nutcracker with The Sarasota Ballet and The Sarasota Orchestra on Friday, December 21 at 7 pm and Saturday, December 22 at 2 & 7 pm. Tickets for all three performances go on sale Friday, September 14 at noon.
Follow Clara's dream as she and the NUTCRACKER Company run away with the circus in this all-new version of the classic story enchanted by London's choreographer Matthew Hart and award-winning teammate designer Peter Docherty. Fabulous new sets, amazing new costumes, daring high-flying performers, all set to Tchaikovsky's festive music and accompanied by The Sarasota Orchestra as The Sarasota Ballet entwines Hoffmann's original story with Sarasota's own hometown John Ringling's circus.
At least 20 youngsters of The Ruth Eckerd Hall Ballet Company will also make their Clearwater debut in this new sensational production.
