Ruth Eckerd Hall offers a dazzling array of fundraising and community events.  Participation in the fundraising events helps provide need-based tuition assistance, work-study and talent-based scholarships for students of the Marcia P. Hoffman Performing Arts Institute and to support Ruth Eckerd Hall’s commitment to present quality programming.

Nuevo Arts Group Appreciation Dinner Prior to the Lang Lang performance

Zev Buffman, President and CEO of Ruth Eckerd Hall and Vilma Buffman, Event Chair request the pleasure of your company at an Appreciation Dinner for members* of the newly formed Nuevo Arts Group, patrons who are dedicated to supporting the classics including ballet, opera, classical music and an American classic, jazz.

Ruth Eckerd Hall has been committed to offering the finest of national and international classical programming for over twenty years. This year, we introduce the Nuevo Arts Group, which expands on the tradition of the Stradivarius Society. With your annual membership, you will join a special group of individuals dedicated to the support and continuation of the classics. As a member, you receive special recognition, a variety of benefits and the opportunity to enrich your life as well as the lives of others.

Opportunities for participation range from $500 to $2,500. Call Ruth Eckerd Hall's Special Events Department at 727.712.2760 to become a member and support the classics!

2nd Annual Dare to Dream Awards ~ Ruth Eckerd Hall’s Scholarship Competition Finals
Tuesday, March 18,2014

The Ruth Eckerd Hall Board of Directors will present the second annual Dare to Dream Awards, an exciting fundraising event to showcase the breadth of students trained at the Marcia P. Hoffman Performing Arts Institute at Ruth Eckerd Hall.  Guests will enjoy a live and final round of high school students competing for first place scholarships in dance, drama, vocal, instrumental jazz and instrument classical.  Comedian Tim Wilkins will be the Master of Ceremonies. 

This will be an inspiring evening of talent and entertainment.  Other festivities will include a buffet reception, respected local and nationally recognized judges and the opportunity for the audience to select the “Fan Favorite” in the competition.  Event proceeds will benefit the Youth Scholarship and Tuition Assistance Programs offered at the Marcia P. Hoffman Performing Arts Institute at Ruth Eckerd Hall.

Sponsorship opportunities range from $10,000 to $1,500. Individual tickets are $100 each for guests wanting to attend the pre-performance buffet reception.  Tickets are $15 each for adults and $5 each for children/students under 18 for guests wanting to attend only the performance/competition finals.

Note:  All scholarship award participants must be current students at the Marcia P. Fashion Takes Center Stage

Fashion Takes Center Stage presented by Dillard's
Spring 2014 – Date to be Confirmed

Please join us for our fifth annual fashion show at Ruth Eckerd Hall to benefit the Hall's educational programs. This fashion show will feature the latest trends of the season, live entertainment and special guest appearances. Also enjoy special shopping discounts in the Dillard's Boutique located on-site. Dillard's will have door prizes for the lunch attendees. We will also have an Opportunity Drawing for a $1,000 Shopping Spree. (Chance Tickets are one for $10 or three for $20).

Landon Korabek OneLove Memorial JamFest

Spend the afternoon listening to great live music, enjoying delicious food and visiting with friends while celebrating the life of Landon Korabek. Other festivities include a silent auction, 50/50 and a chance drawing.

Landon died May 7, 2010 at the young age of 17 from an accidental overdose of prescription drugs. Proceeds from this event benefit the Marcia P. Hoffman School of the Arts at Ruth Eckerd Hall and Narcotics Overdose Prevention and Education (NOPE) Task Force of Pinellas County. Parents Susan and Greg Korabek established the Landon Korabek Memorial Fund to provide musical scholarships to honor Landon's passion for music and to promote education about the dangers of prescription drug abuse.

In addition to attending this event, you can show your support by purchasing ad space in the program book or include your company logo on the commemorative T-Shirt. Nearly 500 people attended the 2013 OneLove JamFest. Bands featured included Six Volt Rodeo, Horny Toads, Shenanigans and the Uncle John's Band.

9th Annual Ruth Eckerd Hall Gala

Spring Gala is moving to the fall! Experience a festive evening of superb live performances, delicious food and beverages, exciting live and silent auction items and fabulous dancing on Ruth Eckerd Hall's Main Stage all to benefit the arts education programs of the Marcia P. Hoffman School of the Arts at Ruth Eckerd Hall. This event attracts approximately 400 guests, including many prominent leaders in our community. Space is limited. Individual tickets are $350 and $250 and sponsorship opportunities range from $15,000 to $3,500.

The April 2013 Spring Gala, Rio Carnaval, was an evening of fun, fantasy and mystique inspired by one of the greatest parties in the world…Carvanal in Rio De Janeiro.  Guests enjoyed a seated dinner catered by Café Ponte and dancing to the music of the Southtown Fever Band.  Major sponsors included the Cantonis Family Foundation, Clearwater Cardiovascular Consultants and DEX Imaging, Inc.
