Special Events

Each year the Foundation hosts several special events where you can join with others in our community to enjoy the festivities while benefiting the performing arts and the arts education programs of Ruth Eckerd Hall.

Events include Harvesting for Scholarships, The Stradivarius Society Gala and the Fourth Annual Spring Gala.

See your support at work....Ruth Eckerd Hall's 1995 Scholarship Recipient for Theater, Quentin Darrington, takes a break from the national tour of "The Color Purple" to express his appreciation to those who support arts education and to share his experience with today's students of the Hoffman Institute for the Performing Arts at Ruth Eckerd Hall.

Harvesting for Scholarships

Harvesting for Scholarships

The Harvesting for Scholarship event was founded by Robert Challener and Nelson Morrow to increase focus raising funds for arts education scholarships for Bay Area teens. Since the founding of this event, RUth Eckerd Hall's Youth Scholarship Program and tuition assistance has awarded over one half million dollars in scholarships to deserving students to further their study of the arts.

The event also provides an opportunity for Ruth Eckerd Hall to present the annual Marcia P. Hoffman Arts Education and Shining Stars Awards to an outstanding individual or educator who has made a significant contribution to the community by providing or making possible excellence in the field of arts education.

Watch for information on the Fall 2009 event.
