This month’s concert, starring Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes will take place on the Tampa Bay Times Cleveland Street Stage. Southside (so nicknamed because of Johnny’s bent towards the blues sounds of the southside of Chicago) and his band, eventually called the Asbury Jukes, worked on growing their reputation as a dynamic live band through the late 60s and early 70s. “We built a band, a home for lots of musicians, horns and all,” said Johnny. “Sure we called it Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes but it was really just a bunch of guys getting crazy on stage.”

A limited number of SUPER VIP packages, priced at $50 are available, which includes a ticket with private access to the Capitol Theatre’s outside veranda in view of the Tampa Bay Times stage and performance by Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes, a meet & greet with Southside Johnny, two complimentary craft beers courtesy of Cigar City Brewing with a Capitol Theatre beer Koozie and snacks, access to the Capitol Theatre main lobby, VIP lounge and restrooms. In addition, A limited number of VIP packages priced at $20 are available, which includes a general admission ticket in the reserved seating section directly in front of the Tampa Bay Times stage, two craft beers courtesy of Cigar City Brewing with a Capitol Theatre beer Koozie.
