Blast Friday: 5 Things To Know Before You Go
Going to a concert is always exciting; you get to hear a live performance, dance around in a crowd full of energetic people, and sing the lyrics to your favorite songs.
You may have been to plenty of concerts before and think you know all of the ropes. Blast Friday on the other hand is no typical concert. You will hear a live performance and dance to your favorite songs just like any other concert, but at Blast Friday you will also eat mouth-watering food, discover eye-catching artwork, and maybe even taste samples of local beer from the beer garden.
In order to get the most out of your experience, here are 5 Things To Know Before You Go:
#1 FAMILY - it’s for all ages
One of the best things about Blast Friday is that it is for all ages. The family-friendly street festival offers things to do for people of many different age ranges. While younger children may be more attracted to the balloon animals, henna tattoos, and art vendors, adults can attend the *beer garden to taste samples of several types of beer from Crooked Thumb Brewery. #2 FOOD - delicious food
The different food options available at Blast Friday seem endless. The food trucks and vendors offer a variety of delicious meal choices, such as tacos, funnel cakes, teriyaki chicken, and potato twisters. The food vendors want you to try their food so don’t forget to ask for samples!
Local restaurants along Cleveland St. offer a yummy place to eat as well as a place to sit down and relax. Most restaurants along the street have been there for years and definitely know how to satisfy the hunger cravings of Blast Friday attendees.
#3 BRING - bring your own chairs/blankets
Ruth Eckerd Hall books National Free Concerts for all Blast Friday events. You can purchase VIP and SUPER VIP tickets for close-up, reserved seating. These tickets also include two complimentary beers and depending on which package you purchase, a meet and greet opportunity with the band.
If you miss out on the opportunity for VIP or SUPER VIP tickets, do not worry! There are other areas available to sit and watch the show. Just bring a chair, blanket, or anything else to keep you comfortable and enjoy the show for free.
#4 CASH - you’ll want extra cash
Although the concert is free admission, there are numerous food, art, and jewelry vendors you’ll want to spend some time (and money) at!
#5 RELAX - unique atmosphere
