Capitol Theatre Staff Spotlight: Brianna
Join us this month as we spotlight our outstanding and dedicated Capitol Theatre staff members! This week we feature Theatre Manager, Brianna, who has been #AtTheCap since Dec, 2014.
What do your duties include? I manage the day to day administration of the facility and act as a public liaison and a compliance representative for the Capitol Theatre. I give tours of the building to the public and special groups as well as coordinate rental events throughout the year. I am also the lead on the operations for Blast Friday and Miracle on Cleveland Street events.
What’s your favorite Cap memory/show? My favorite artist to come through here was Ingrid Michaelson and my favorite comedian to perform here was Jim Breuer though there has been SO much talent and so many knockout shows, I can’t even begin to list them all. I particularly love the events, like Friends of Music, where a lot of REH staff come to the Capitol to help out.
What was your first concert? My first concert was Taking Back Sunday and Fall Out Boy in October of 2004 at Jannus Landing. We were the freshmen in the front row, with our homemade tank tops (complete with TBS song lyrics, of course) ribs crushed against the bike barricades, and Adam Lazzara swinging his microphone and whipping his sweaty hair around right in front of us and we thought it was the best thing ever!
What’s your bucket list band you would want to see play at the Cap? I would lose my mind if Saves the Day or Brand New ever played our venue as they are my all-time favorites though I have seen them many times. I would love to see someone like Band of Horses, Local Natives or Father John Misty play in our venue.
