Blast Friday: Greg Billings

The Greg Billings Band return while The Superstars featuring Ronnie Dee make their Blast Friday debut for Home Cooking V! One of the most prominent bands in Tampa since the legendary days of Stranger, Greg Billings has become the quintessential frontman recognized for his unique vocal tonality, and his ability to grab any audience’s attention and hold them for as long as he’s on the stage. Backed up with a sold band of veteran musicians, the Greg Billings Band rolls on bringing smiles to the faces of live music lovers everywhere. The Superstars are a funk/horns/blues band with an eclectic group of 14 musicians. Featuring Ronnie Dee, the band is a family affair with Dee’s son AJ on guitar and his sister Jamie Lee on vocals. The video for their song “Battle of the Bad Seed” which Ronnie’s father, music icon Joey Dee of the Starliters, appeared in was recently featured on Top40charts.com. Ronnie Dee has taken the music torch from his father, enlisted the combined efforts of an elite group of Tampa Bay (and beyond) musical talent, and presents another amazing chapter in the Dee family history.
