An Evening with Nick Dukas
Fri, Nov 17 at 7:30 PM @ Murray Theatre
Four years ago, after many years performing Greek music, Nick decided to sing and perform American music as he started with in high school. During these last four years he has recorded 5 original songs that he co-wrote and sang. Four of them have received Silver Medals for male vocalist and lyrics from the venerable Global Music Awards organization in California. His "One and Forever Love" CD also made the Top 5 CMJ charts in 2015 and it also was voted "Best Local CD" by the Tampa Bay Magazine Best of 2016 issue. His music has been played on radio stations all over the U.S. and was the feature CD of the week at NPR radio station WERU. It has also been streamed on all the popular on line services. Nick has performed recently with Tommy Mara and the Crests, Terry Sylvester of the Hollies, Gary Puckett, Paul Wilson and other well know artists. Over the last few years Nick has appeared on The Studio Live! CBS TV station with host Margaret Word Burnside. Well known UK actress, Elie Monty covered Nick's song "Wrap Me Up for Christmas". He also frequently appears at Barnes and Noble events where his music is also available.
Jennifer Day Morrison, a.k.a Jyn, signed a record deal with BNA/RCA records at 18 and had an album released under the name Jennifer Day called "Fun of your Love". Her music has been featured on the Kevin Costner film, "For the Love of the Game", and the soundtrack "Where the Heart Is" with Ashley Judd and Natalie Portman. Jyn was discovered by Coca Cola to be one of the featured artist for their jingle in 2000 and has written, produced and recorded commercials for Mattel. She also performed alongside Kenny Chesney and Sarah Evans for Maytag's promotional tour, and Sunglass Hut gave her the spotlight in the Orange Bowl parade.
Tanya Lewis has a BA in Music Performance from USF and has held leading roles in local Opera’s and Musicals. She has performed with the Florida Orchestra as a member of the Master Chorale of Tampa Bay and as a back up singer in their Pops concert “Totally Awesome ’80’s”. She has also provided back-up vocals in the studio for local artists Keko and Nick Dukas.
Olivia Romano was raised surrounded by music and her soulful voice can bring light to the room she is in. At age fifteen, Olivia taught herself how to play the guitar, sing, and eventually start her songwriting journey. Although Olivia is heading towards a more “acoustic soul” vibe, she has always had a love for writing in the Indie/Folk genre as well.
Tickets are $44.50 (includes a meet & greet) and $29.50. Tickets are general admission and cabaret style seating.
