About Murray Theatre
The Murray Theatre is located inside Ruth Eckerd Hall’s Marcia P. Hoffman School of the Arts. This intimate black box theater opened in 2003 and was named for longtime philanthropists, Ray and Nancy Murray. The theater was renovated in 2014, offering state-of-the-art educational programming, an exterior accessible Ticket Office, expanded lobby space with new concessions, all new seats and flooring and is now home to the Hat Trick Theatre Company. This unique and special venue fulfills the mission set out by Ruth Eckerd Hall over 30 years ago of changing lives through the performing arts, while honoring the vision of Ray and Nancy Murray. The Murray Theatre offers multiple seating configurations including: theater-in-the-round, full cabaret, half cabaret, mini cabaret and stage seating up to 250 people.
