Ruth Eckerd Hall, Inc. Names Suzanne Delaney Chief Development Officer
The Ruth Eckerd Hall, Inc. Board of Directors and Zev Buffman, Ruth Eckerd Hall President & CEO announced today the promotion of Suzanne Delaney to Chief Development Officer of Ruth Eckerd Hall, the Murray Theatre and the Capitol Theatre in downtown Clearwater. Suzy joined Ruth Eckerd Hall in March 2015 as Director of Development.
In announcing the appointment of Suzy, Buffman commented, “When we were unexpectedly left without a leader in our Development Department, Suzy took the reign during an incredibly intense funding campaign. Working together these last few months as we complete the necessary fundraising for the Ruth Eckerd Hall Expanding the Experience capital campaign, Suzy has never faltered, while balancing the other commitments needed for the position. She is a perfect teammate for me.”
Jana L. Jones, Ruth Eckerd Hall Chairman of the Board also commented, “Suzy has done a wonderful job for Ruth Eckerd Hall over the past three years, and particularly in the last six months when she assumed responsibility as the Interim Chief Development Officer. Her endless enthusiasm, energy as well as her passion for the theatre make her a perfect fit for our organization. I could not be more pleased for her, and for us, with this announcement.”
Immediate Past Chairman Marcus Greene said, “For many years, I have worked with every Development Director and I find Suzy to be a top-notch choice for what the organization is undertaking the days, months and years ahead.”
In response Suzy said, “I am very excited and honored to be a part of the Ruth Eckerd Hall experience, especially at this special time. We are poised to make substantial improvements that will carry our mission of changing lives through performing arts to future generations. Zev, our Board of Directors, the City of Clearwater, the incredible staff, donors, members, partners and volunteers are all working toward the same thing; our love of Ruth Eckerd Hall, the arts, education and our community.”
In addition to overseeing the fundraising campaign, Suzy will plan, direct and organize the development functions of the organization to achieve fundraising goals. She will also provide leadership, support, training and direction for the development staff and will continue the implementation of major funding campaign programs and solicitations of major gifts and sponsorships.
