Ruth Eckerd Hall announced a $350,000 gift from Doug and Sally Bailey that will benefit the arts education and outreach programs offered by the Marcia P. Hoffman School of the Arts at Ruth Eckerd Hall.  This gift is part of a cumulative gift of more than $500,000 from the Baileys.

“We have been a part of this wonderful community for many years and Sally and I believe it’s our personal responsibility to give back.” commented Mr. Bailey, “We know how vital arts education programs are for our children,” Mr. Bailey continued.  “We should all remember how fortunate we are to have the programs that are offered by the Marcia P. Hoffman School of the Arts.  Sally and I are honored that we can be a part of their vision to continue arts educations and reach out to children across our entire community.”

“The Baileys personify all that is good and kind and generous in our community. It is humbling to have their ‘stamp of approval’ on our education and outreach programs, and my staff and I are truly honored,” commented Sharon Reid-Kane, Vice President of Education & Outreach, The Marcia P. Hoffman School of the Arts. “I look forward to introducing them to our students and their families in the days to come, so they may see first-hand the immediate and lasting impact of their generosity.”

“We are so lucky to live in a community with people like Doug and Sally Bailey,” said Suzy Delaney, Chief Development Officer for Ruth Eckerd Hall.  “Their generosity will be the cornerstone that we build upon to ensure that generations of our local children will have access to arts education. I am deeply grateful to Doug and Sally and humbled by their example.”
