The Marcia P. Hoffman School Of The Arts At Ruth Eckerd Hall And Eckerd College’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute Announce Partnership
The Marcia P. Hoffman School of the Arts at Ruth Eckerd Hall and Eckerd College’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) announced today that they will begin a new partnership, combining resources to provide enrichment classes to students aged 50 years and older.
The Marcia P. Hoffman School of the Arts will serve as a new site for OLLI classes, hosting more than 20 sessions this spring starting on February 17 and running until April. Classes will cover a variety of subjects, including performing arts-themed sessions taught by the Marcia P. Hoffman staff to explore improv, choral singing and visual arts.
“We are thrilled to welcome the Eckerd College OLLI program as our newest partner. With a shared mission of lifelong learning, it was an easy decision to join forces,” said Marcia P. Hoffman Vice President & Chief Education and Community Engagement Officer Sharon Reid-Kane, Ed.D. “We look forward to welcoming a new population of students into our studios and classrooms, and anticipate a mutually beneficial partnership - working together to provide access to the joy of learning throughout our community.”
Mary P. Szaroleta, the Director of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Eckerd College, stated that, “Eckerd College's Osher Lifelong Learning Institute is excited to partner with Ruth Eckerd Hall and the Marcia P. Hoffman School of the Arts to offer people aged 50+ in the community a space to attend intellectually stimulating and socially engaging classes and programs."
