Blast Friday returns to Downtown Clearwater for its 7th season! This food and crafts festival features a free live concert every month located in the Cleveland Street District. Food trucks and vendors will be serving a wide variety of freshly prepared specialty food and beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages that will be available for purchase. Concert goers are welcome to bring their lawn chairs to watch the concert. A limited number of VIP and SUPER VIP packages are on sale now.
New this year! We will have a Beer Garden at Station Square, located in the 600 block of Cleveland Street, with beer and wine available for purchase and a sampling from Crooked Thumb Brewery. A local art experience will also be featured at each Blast Friday. A free exhibit will be held outside Studio 617, hosted by Lina Texiera. Studio 617 is located at 617 Cleveland Street District.

About Blast Friday
Blast Friday was established in 2009 as Downtown Clearwater's free, family-friendly street festival. Enjoy the only city in Florida who offers free national acts supported by the City of Clearwater, the Cleveland Street District and the Downtown Development Board and produced by Ruth Eckerd Hall On The Road. Blast Friday has festival seating. Personal blankets and chairs are welcome. No outside food or beverages permitted. This event is rain or shine. Dates, times, and bands subject to change and cancellation.
About VIP and SUPER VIP Tickets
A limited number of VIP packages priced at $29 are available for all Blast Friday concerts, which includes a general admission ticket in the reserved seating section directly in front of the Tampa Bay Times Stage and two complimentary beers. In addition, a limited number of SUPER VIP packages for all Blast Friday concerts, priced at $49 are also available, which includes a ticket with seats in the first two rows of reserved general admission seating directly in front of the Tampa Bay Times Stage, a meet and greet opportunity with band members and two complimentary beers or wine and access to super VIP tent, which includes snacks.
Be a part of the fun and join in Clearwater’s premier street festival! Become a vendor to offer specialty food items, refreshments, crafts and homemade goods. Every participating vendor receives a reserved 10’ x 10’ space at one low fee with a deeper discount for crafters and artisans. Blast Friday is held the last Friday of every month through May.
Blast Friday Clearwater is located in Downtown Clearwater on the 400 block, directly in front of the Capitol Theatre.
From St. Petersburg – Head north on I-275 towards Roosevelt Blvd (SR 686); head west and follow signs to St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport. Cross the Bayside Bridge. Take the Gulf to Bay Blvd exit (SR 60). Use the left 2 lanes to turn left (west) onto Gulf to Bay Blvd (SR 60), towards Clearwater/Clearwater Beach. Gulf to Bay Blvd turns into Court St. Turn right onto Ft. Harrison Ave (heading south). Turn left (heading west) onto Cleveland St. The Capitol Theatre will be located on your left hand side, at the corner of Cleveland St and Osceola Ave.
From Tampa – Head west on the Courtney Campbell Causeway (SR 60) towards Clearwater Beach. Continue on Gulf to Bay Blvd (SR 60), towards Clearwater/Clearwater Beach. Gulf to Bay Blvd turns into Court Street. Turn right onto Ft. Harrison Ave (heading south). Turn left (heading west) onto Cleveland St. The Capitol Theatre will be located on your left hand side, at the corner of Cleveland St and Osceola Ave.
From Tarpon Springs/Palm Harbor – Drive south on East Lake Rd (SR 611). East Lake Rd becomes McMullen Booth Rd. Turn right (west) onto Gulf to Bay Blvd (SR 60). Gulf to Bay Blvd turns into Court St. Turn right onto Ft. Harrison Ave (heading south). Turn left (heading west) onto Cleveland St. The Capitol Theatre will be located on your left hand side, at the corner of Cleveland St and Osceola Ave.
Ample, public parking and metered parking is available in Downtown Clearwater. For more information on public parking locations, please refer to the City of Clearwater’s Downtown Parking Facilities Map. Downtown parking meters are not enforced Monday-Friday after 6pm and all day on Saturdays and Sundays.
