Musical Theater
Class Information:
Broadway Bound I
Grades: 1st - 3rd
Day & Time: Saturday, 9:00-11:00am
Tuition: $250.00

Classes end: April 1, 2023
While encouraging self-expression and boosting confidence, students will learn the basics of acting and movement/dance for the stage with an end-of-term performance for family & friends.
Broadway Bound II
Grades: 4th & 5th
Day & Time: Saturday, 9:00-11:00am

Classes end: April 1, 2023
Continuing to build on acting basics, students will focus on the art of storytelling and character development concluding with a “from page to stage” performance for family & friends at the end of the term.
Broadway Bound III
Grades: 6th - 8th
Day &Time: Saturday, 12:00-2:00pm

Classes end: April 1, 2023
Students will study short scenes from published works furthering their acting skills and the ability to analyze plays for truer performances. Family & friends will be invited to an end-of-term performance featuring selected scenes.
Drama

Stage Acting
Grades: 9th - 12th

Through critical examination of theatrical moments, students will learn to select the best acting choices possible for higher-level performance. A selected one-act play will be presented to family & friends at the term’s end.
Visual Arts
Class Information:
Art is all around us - spend your Saturday drawing, painting, sculpting, and creating! Students will explore multiple artistic genres in addition to visual arts for the stage making props and scenic elements in this hands-on, color-filled class. A gallery-style art show will be open for family & friends at the end of the term.

Class Information:
Jazz Night: Ruth Eckerd Hall Big Band I (*) or Ruth Eckerd Hall Big Band II (*)

Jazz Night is designed for dedicated students interested in taking their love of this extraordinary genre to the next level. The history and development of jazz music is explored, along with theory and improvisation skill-building. Multiple performance opportunities on the Ruth Eckerd Hall campus and throughout the Tampa Bay area occur during the term.

Ruth Eckerd Hall Chorus
Ages: 18 and up

The Ruth Eckerd Hall Chorus is a talented group of multi-generational singers who celebrate the joy of music by singing TOGETHER! Annual repertoire includes selections from the Middle Ages to modern day pop & rock, along with Disney classics and favorites from the stage. From weekly rehearsals, holiday celebrations, and sporting events to concerts on stages of all sizes, the Ruth Eckerd Hall Chorus performs regularly throughout the Tampa Bay area and beyond.
On-Camera Acting
INTRODUCTION TO ON-CAMERA ACTING (with Peggy Sheffield)
Grades: 5-12
Day and Time: Tuesday, 4-5:30pm

Specifically tailored to our younger actors, this class will focus on the basics of on-camera acting including character/scene development and script analysis leading into audition prep.
ON-CAMERA ACTING (with Peggy Sheffield)
Ages: 18 and up
Date and Time: Tuesday, 6:00-8:00pm
Tuition: $30.00 per class
Classes start/end: ongoing – enroll anytime!
With a focus on script analysis, audition prep, and virtual etiquette this class welcomes “newbies” as well as those already working in the TV/film industry seeking to develop a deeper connection to their roles and a higher level of work. Rolling enrollment throughout the term welcomes actors to join anytime!
