Don Was has enjoyed a multi-faceted and impressive career as a musician, record producer, music director, film composer, documentary filmmaker, and radio host. Was has earned six Grammys, an Emmy, a BAFTA, and the respect of musicians and fans worldwide. In nearly 50 years in the music business, the Was bandleader has collaborated with an astonishing list of top-flight artists from Gregg Allman to John Mayer, bringing out the best in Hall of Fame names like the Rolling Stones, Willie Nelson, Bonnie Raitt, and more. Since 2011, he has also served as President of America’s venerated jazz label, Blue Note Records. Was has been enthusiastically and fearlessly genre fluid, moving freely across rock, pop, jazz, country, reggae, R&B, and world music. Don Was’ latest group, The Pan-Detroit Ensemble, features top-tier jazz musicians from his hometown. The band includes longtime collaborators such as Blue Note artist Dave McMurray on saxophone, Eminem’s Oscar-winning collaborator Luis Resto on keyboard, trombonist Vincent Chandler, trumpeter John Douglas, drummer Jeff Canaday, percussionist Mahindi Masai, guitarist Wayne Gerard, and vocalist Steffanie Christi’an.

How do I purchase tickets before the public? The Bilheimer Capitol Theatre offers many membership options starting at $100 annually that unlock special member pre-sales and amenities across all venues. Become a member today: Membership Options
Where can I park? Public parking is available throughout the downtown district. Please view the City of Clearwater’s Downtown Parking Map for the most up to date parking availability. We strongly encourage carpooling, rideshare and public transportation.
Where do I pick up will call tickets? Visit The Bilheimer Capitol Theatre Ticket Office, located outside the main entrance to the venue on Cleveland Street, before you enter the security line, up to two hours before showtime.
What are your safety and security policies? All members of your party must have a ticket to enter the venue. All individuals entering the facility are subject to screening including the checking of bags and personal belongings for prohibited items. Re-entry is not permitted. What dining and concessions are available? The Bilheimer Capitol Theatre features the Rooftop Terrace Lounge, The Hideaway Speakeasy and the main concession features a full liquor bar and popcorn, pretzels, chips and candy. A variety of restaurants are located within walking distance of the Nancy and David Bilheimer Capitol Theatre.
