Susan M. Crockett, Ruth Eckerd Hall President & CEO, announced today that Ruth Eckerd Hall has been awarded a Top Workplaces 2026 honor by the Tampa Bay Times Top Workplaces.  In the most competitive category of mid-size businesses (150-499), Ruth Eckerd Hall is ranked #27. This is the fourth year in a row, and the fifth time in six years that Ruth Eckerd Hall has been named a Top Workplace.  In addition to managing and operating the performing arts center, Ruth Eckerd Hall also manages and operates The Nancy and David Bilheimer Capitol Theatre in downtown Clearwater and The BayCare Sound at Coachman Park. And as in previous years, Ruth Eckerd Hall is the only entertainment venue to make the list.

This list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by employee engagement technology partner Energage LLC. The confidential survey uniquely measures the employee experience and its component themes, including employees feeling respected and supported, enabled to grow and empowered to execute, to name a few.

“We know the quality of our employees is at the top.  These are professionals who love what they do and believe in our mission”, said Crockett.  “The fact that they feel the organization truly supports and appreciates them echoes our culture of being a family as much as a business. That culture fuels our resilience and success.”

“Earning a Top Workplaces award is a badge of honor for companies, especially because it comes authentically from their employees,” said Eric Rubino, Energage CEO.  “That’s something to be proud of.  In today’s market, leaders must ensure they’re allowing employees to have a voice and be heard.  That’s Paramount.  Top Workplaces do this and it pays dividends.”

The Tampa Bay Times had the opportunity to speak with some of the staff at Ruth Eckerd Hall about their time with the organization and how the performing arts has played a role throughout their lives. Check out the article here!
