The BayCare Sound came alive with music, movement, and a whole lot of inspiration as singer-songwriter Roger Day took the stage during the Marcia P. Hoffman School of the Arts SchoolTime Series.

Six schools, both public and private, along with several homeschool families, attended the hour-long performance that was equal parts concert and pep talk. With his guitar and ukulele, Roger Day had kids singing, jumping, and dreaming. His music spans themes of hope, career exploration, and possibility, with songs built around the idea that what you want to be when you grow up is worth chasing.

From astronauts to artists, Roger's songs explore the wide world of careers in a way that feels fun and accessible for young audiences. Underneath the catchy melodies is a genuine message...that everyone has something worth reaching for.

Events like this one don't happen without community support, and Ruth Eckerd Hall is grateful to Duke Energy for sponsoring the event. Their commitment to Ruth Eckerd Hall and the Marcia P. Hoffman School of the Arts make it possible to bring performers to students who might not otherwise have the chance to experience live music in this way. That investment in young people matters, and we see it every time a kid walks out of one of these shows a little taller than when they walked in.

Thank you to Roger Day, our incredible school partners, Duke Energy and Pinellas Community Foundation for making this one to remember.
