W.A.S.P.
1984 TO HEADLESS with special guest KK's Priest
This fall, iconic heavy metal hard-hitters W.A.S.P. make their highly anticipated debut at Ruth Eckerd Hall, joined by very special guest KK'S Priest for a night of classic metal intensity!
Few bands in the history of Rock N’ Roll have ever incited the love, the hate, the raw emotional effect that W.A.S.P has had on the world. From the small venues of Los Angeles California to the numerous countries worldwide that banned these Winged Assassins from performing live, the band’s unique style of shock and rock caused religious organizations, local city councils, parliaments, and the Washington D.C. Senate to hold hearings in an effort to bar this group from selling records and trashing stages everywhere they played. Known for anthems like I Wanna Be Somebody, Wild Child, and Blind in Texas, W.A.S.P. forged a legacy that continues to influence generations of hard-rock bands to follow. The band’s founding member Blackie Lawless has led the group as their frontman, lead vocalist and primary songwriter since its beginning. His unique brand of visual, social and political comment took the group to worldwide heights and sold millions of records alongside a legacy of sold out shows across the globe for four decades.
KK’s Priest is the powerhouse heavy metal band formed in 2019 by former Judas Priest guitarist K.K. Downing, reuniting him with ex-Priest vocalist Tim “Ripper” Owens to deliver a modern charge of classic steel. Backed by guitarist A.J. Mills, bassist Tony Newton, and drummer Sean Elg, the group channels the spirit of traditional British metal on albums Sermons of the Sinner (2021) and The Sinner Rides Again (2023). Their explosive live shows blend new anthems with revered Priest classics, showcasing Downing’s iconic riffs and Owens’ soaring vocals in a set that honors the past while forging a fierce new chapter for true metal fans.
